ADULT BASEBALL SIGNUP!!!

Waldoboro REC is taking registrations through APRIL 28th!!! This is just a preliminary registration with no fee included to determine amount of interest. If we gather enough registrations to form the league there will be a second registration with the league fee included. No teams required yet, simply sign yourself up and tell your friends!!!

The form below can be handed in at the Waldoboro Town Office Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. They will also have forms available at the office. Planning for the 2018 season of Waldoboro Recreation Department's Adult CO-ED Fall Softball League has begun. An informational meeting for all returning and prospective team captains will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 5:00pm at the Waldoboro Town Office. Anyone desiring to enter a team is encouraged to attend.

Team registration form along with a $200 deposit is due no later than August 8th. Balance of registration fee of $20 per person is due prior to first game. The league is limited to 16 teams. Returning and Waldoboro based teams have first priority. Games begin around the 3rd week of August and conclude with playoffs scheduled for late September/early October.

Teams play twice per week (weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons) at Medomak Valley High School, Medomak Middle School, or the Waldoboro Little League field (Sukeforth). This is purely a recreational league for older adults with an emphasis on having fun and enjoying the game of softball. Must be 18 to play and the average age of the game day lineup must be 33 years of age. Men must use league provided wooden bats. Three women must be in the field at all times. Persons interested in entering a team should contact the Recreation Department as soon as possible.

WALDOBORO SENIOR FALL FOLIAGE BUS TRIP TO RANGELEY LAKES

The Waldoboro Recreation Department is sponsoring a bus trip for senior citizens to the Rangeley Lakes Area on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Participants will depart the Waldoboro VFW at 8:30am via motorcoach and head for Rangeley to enjoy sightseeing and shopping. Stops include Small's Falls, The Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum and Height of Land scenic overlook (subject to change). Ample opportunities will be provided for photographs or just taking in the breathtaking landscape. Stops are planned for lunch/comfort. Participants may pack a lunch or eat at one of several restaurants in Rangeley at their own expense. Residents of other communities are invited to participate on a space available basis. Bus

WALDOBORO SENIOR BUS TRIP TO MAINE MARITIME MUSEUM AND PEMAQUID POINT LIGHT HOUSE.

 

The Waldoboro Recreation Department is sponsoring a bus trip for senior citizens to the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, followed by lunch at the Taste of Maine Restaurant and seeing the sights at Pemaquid Point Light House on the way home. The trip will be on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Participants will depart the Waldoboro VFW at 9:00am via motor coach and head for the Maine Maritime Museum where they will be given a guided tour. Following the museum, they will head to the Taste of Maine restaurant for lunch at their own expense. After lunch the Bus will head down to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse for more sightseeing before returning to Waldoboro arriving back at the VFW around 5pm. Residents of other communities are invited to participate on a space available basis. A $20 non-resident fee applies.
